Spooktacular Halloween Events
- The Girdwood PTA Kids Halloween Carnival is tonight, October 28, from 4:30-8pm at the Daylodge. There will be games and a costume contest with prizes from local businesses. Admission is $3 per person or $10/family. Proceeds benefit Girdwood PTA.
- Maxine’s Glacier City Bistro will have live music on Saturday, October 29th. Milo Matthews will play from 10pm-2am. Wear your costume.
- Alyeska Resort presents Static Cycle on Saturday, October 29th. Tickets are $10. Doors open at 8pm.
- KEUL is hosting their annual Haunted Open House on Monday, Oct. 31. Radio station volunteers will have activities and games for all ages from 3-7pm. Held at the park outside the new radio station.
- The Grind coffee shop is also hosting a Halloween party from 5:30-7pm on Monday, Oct. 31. It is open to all ages. There will be a costume contest for groups and individuals and a pumpkin carving contest.

Chugach Chocolates
Girdwood’s newest business- located in the Alyeska Daylodge- is as sweet as can be. Fourth generation chocolatiers Marcus and Robert Matthews started the business earlier this summer. Their specialities include milk and dark chocolate toffee bars, milk and dark chocolate peanut clusters, Bavarian mint squares, and peanut brittle. The confections are all made by hand from a simple list of ingredients. Chugach Chocolates is offering a 20% discount on pre-holiday gift orders, and drinking chocolate will be available November 1st (just 4 more days!) Hours of operation are 7am-5pm daily.
